Weekly Letter #49: September 14th, 2020

Hello hello!

Honestly I have 0 time to write this week because we're driving up to Barrow and might stop by Windermere if we have time so we are zooming and vrooming all over the place.

TRANSFERS?
Folks, Sister Walker is so good. I love her. She's nice, she's funny, she cooks like an absolute legend (I have eaten better this week than I ever have on my entire mission) and she says “y'all”. What more could I ask for? She's super driven and everything is motivated by love and I am just so pumped for this transfer because I know I'm going to learn so much. We already have some amazing plans and ideas for what we can do so here's hoping we see lots of miracles!

LANCASTER?
Doing well! All of the UK is getting new restrictive measures (no meeting up in groups larger than 6 people inside and outside) so that's a good time. However, we're lucky because we can still meet for church and other religious gatherings so that's really good. Fingers crossed it stays like that.

PRESIDENT AND SISTER JOHNSON?
WOW. Literally that's all I can say. They are SO incredible and are so inspired. They have hit the ground sprinting and we have so many amazing things coming up. We have multiple mission calls in the week and they're so wonderful because we're able to learn so much and interact with them. I ADORE them. Wow. Go watch our last Why I Believe Devotional if you want to see them in action.

Okay and that might be it for today because we've got to go, so sorry if I don't respond to your emails today (know I appreciate them)!!!!

LOVE YOU ALL ♡♡♡♡

Weekly Letter #48: September 8th, 2020

Hello all and welcome back to yet another week of Sister Pursglove's fun England adventures as a
missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ. What a wild world we live in.

Sorry for the couple of weeks when my updates weren't the best but life was ~crazy~ and so here we are now with lots of news!

TRANSFERS?
YAYAYAY folks I am staying in Lancaster!! I have only been here for the one transfer (or 6 weeks) so I'm glad that I'm able to stay longer because I LOVE it here!!! Unfortunately, Sister Weyland is being moved down to Rhyl in Wales.

COMPANION?
The good news is that I am getting a new companion (surprise) and I LOVE HER! Her name is Sister Walker and she's probably the most charitable and nicest and warmest person I've ever met. Since the first time I met her I've always wanted to be her companion. She is also a great cook so that's a major plus as well. I don't know if you can tell, but I'm SO PUMPED!!

FUNNY STORY?
Hahaha so I have 0 funny stories this week because unfortunately I had a migraine so for a good 70% of this week I was lying in a dark room with my eye mask on. Livin la vida.

SPIRITUAL STORY?
GO WATCH THE WHY I BELIEVE DEVOTIONAL!!!!! Especially the last half with President and Sister Johnson’s testimonies!! They're amazing and I love them so much!!!

Also something I've been thinking a lot about (because I hit a year in 2 weeks) is how grateful I am for this experience. I'm so grateful I have been able to meet the people I have and to have been able to serve in the areas I've been in. Each person, each companion, and each area has had a direct impact and has taught me different lessons. Whether that be being in Oldham for 7 months, being in St. Helens for 1.5 months, being over 2 areas virtually, or being moved to Barrow and Lancaster while in lockdown, there have been so many life lessons! I love being a missionary (even when it sucks and I roll my eyes more often than not) and I wouldn't trade these experiences I've had for anything.

Love you all!!!
